ABOUT AKASH AWASTHI
I am a Research Scientist at BAERI/NASA Ames, Mountain View, California. My PhD research focused on developing collaborative AI tools using large multimodal models(LMMs) for healthcare. Previously, I worked as a Machine Learning Researcher at Lawrence Livermore National Lab ( US Department of Energy), Argonne National Laboratory ( US Department of Energy), Rice University, IIT Kanpur, and IIT Gandhinagar. My research focuses on AI applications in interdisciplinary sciences. My work appears in top AI venues, including Radiology: Artificial Intelligence Journal (IF 13.2), Knowledge-Based Systems Journal (IF 7.6), MICCAI, ICCV, WACV, and ISBI, among others. My work on collaborative AI has been featured by the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA News).
