I’ve spent the last decade figuring out how to build things that actually work - first overseas, now in the U.S.Before DPR, I was in northern Afghanistan managing $7M in USAID infrastructure grants across nine districts. I led a team of 12 engineers building community service centers, roads, retaining walls, and shelters in places where getting materials to site was the easy part. That experience taught me something no classroom ever could: how to solve problems with whatever you’ve got, keep people safe, and deliver results when the stakes are real.At DPR Construction, I’ve spent 8+ years working my way from intern to Project Manager on some of the most complex pharmaceutical projects in the Research Triangle. My trajectory here tells the story: I cut my teeth on a $400M pharmaceutical facility coordinating design, procurement, and installation of critical process equipment. From there I was part of the GC team on a $25M+ ground-up expansion to an existing operational drug manufacturing facility in Durham - new construction integrated into a live production environment. Now I’m one of the project managers on a $130M+ project for a high-profile big pharma client in the Triangle, focused on finishing strong with my team. Every one of these has been confidential. I can’t name clients, but I can tell you that life sciences construction is a different animal - the tolerances are tighter, the regulations are heavier, and the coordination between trades has zero margin for error.    Leading project management on large-scale pharmaceutical construction in the Research Triangle. Currently one of the project managers on a $130M+ project for a high-profile big pharma client, driving the team to a strong finish.Prior to this, was part of the GC team on a $25M+ ground-up expansion to an existing operational drug manufacturing facility in Durham - new construction integrated into a live production environment. Before that, played a key role coordinating design, procurement, and installation of critical process equipment on a $400M pharmaceutical facility.Across all three projects: managing multimillion-dollar budgets and change order workflows, driving schedule adherence across dozens of subcontractors and vendors, running risk management and compliance, and serving as a primary point of contact for client and stakeholder communication. All projects confidential NDA clients. I also make it a priority to mentor the engineers coming up behind me - this industry needs people who can think on their feet, and that’s a skill you develop by doing, not by reading about it.
