ABOUT AKANKSHA SIWACH

Once upon a comma, I was editing travel guides, academic titles, and coffee table books— not just chasing typos, but tightening arguments, untangling syntax, and helping authors land their ideas with clarity and grace. All while toggling between ruin bars in Budapest and 8 a.m. Oxford proofs. Since then, the terrain has changed, but the sentence structures remain. I’ve moved from publishing houses to PR and Ad agencies, from editorial deadlines to brand decks, from fact-checking footnotes to finessing quotes.Currently, I am the PR & Corporate Communications Manager at Campus Shoes—telling stories that walk, run, and (sometimes) jump off the page. Before this, I juggled clients, crises, and campaign calendars at Adfactors PR, managed creative chaos at FoxyMoron, crafted campaigns and quietly rewrote half the copy I was only supposed to proofread both as a marketer and an editor at Oxford University Press and Dorling Kindersley (PRH). I’ve worked across sectors—aviation, fashion, waste management, FMCG, tech, infrastructure—and across formats: brand strategy, crisis comms, reputation management, internal narratives, and the occasional existential crisis over a press note. What ties it all together? A love for language, a decent coffee habit, and the belief that the right line, whether in a book or a campaign, can still land with feeling. Because in every well-told story (either a 30 second brand film or a 300-page book) there’s a moment that makes you stop, think, and maybe remember. That’s the bit I chase.(Also, I’ve picked up a few awards along the way. Nothing flashy, just enough to keep the imposter syndrome mildly offended.)
