About Akanksha Chablani
flag{4b0ut_4kanksh4}I was in junior year high school when I read Dan Brown\'s digital fortress. It\'s main character, a mathematician at NSA, inadvertently became my inspiration. So here I am, a senior in Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.I am highly interested in cybersecurity, especially cryptography. University clubs, like Sigpwny and Women in Cybersecurity, as well as internal and external capture the flag competitions as well as Sandia conferences teach me more and more about the topic and keep me interested. Additionally, I have recently developed a deep interest in quantum physics, quantum computing and quantum cryptography. I spend my free time learning more about it, attend Sigquantum seminars and messing around the IBM Qiskit course and open source quantum computers. I love solving problems and understanding new concepts, and I think that\'s why quantum computers have such a hard grip on me. I am also really enjoying my computer architecture class and have discovered a new love for low level programming. I want to learn more about the electrical engineering side of CS and may take up a few more similar courses. Apart from CS and technology, I really enjoy football, volleyball, swimming and various adventure sports. On a less energetic side, you would often find me curled up on a tree, enjoying the fresh air and reading a science fiction, fantasy or mystery novel. I like playing my tabla and drums, and listening to different genres of music, and am always open to new music and book recommendations.My eventual goal is to work in cybersecurity and participate in a lot of Quantum Computing research and applications. I also want to develop new and useful software. In order to nurture these skills and gain more experience, I would love to work in one of the following fields- Quantum research- Cybersecurity- SWE - Anything to do with graph theory
