As Asset Commercial Leader, I act as the Deal Lead / Business Opportunity Manager (BOM) for high-value, complex transactions across Shell’s offshore wind and wider renewables portfolio. I serve as a key integrator across Shell Power, Shell Energy, and our global ventures and projects. I lead the commercial strategy and execution across the full deal lifecycle (from opportunity identification and structuring to negotiation, execution, and integration) and across the asset lifecycle (from development through to operations and divestment).My role spans joint ventures, divestments, and strategic partnerships, often involving counterparties such as international energy companies, utilities, governments, private equity, and infrastructure investors. I’ve led a portfolio of deals exceeding $350m, including tender offers, acquisitions, asset swaps, Shell-operated and non-operated joint ventures, and negotiation of large contracts ensuring alignment with Shell’s strategic and financial objectives.I work cross-functionally to deliver value through commercial innovation, stakeholder engagement, and disciplined execution. As an Experienced Deal Lead (EDL), I bring a track record of delivering results across multiple value chains and geographies, with a focus on energy transition and long-term asset value creation

ABOUT ANDRONIKOS KAFAS
Andronikos is currently a Commercial Leader at Shell, where he acts as Deal Lead / Business Opportunity Manager (BOM) for high-value, complex transactions across Shell’s offshore wind and broader renewables portfolio of power assets. He serves as a key integrator across Shell\'s Power organisation, Shell Energy, and global ventures and projects—leading commercial strategy and execution across both deal and asset life-cycles. He brings over 15 years of experience in offshore wind business development and consenting mostly in Europe. Previously, Andronikos was the UK Manager for Offshore Wind Business Development at Shell, responsible for greenfield (tenders) and brownfield (equity) growth in the UK offshore wind market, as well as maximising value from UK floating offshore wind assets (MarramWind and CampionWind). At Ocean Winds (a JV between ENGIE and EDPR), he led leasing tenders that secured 4.3 GW in Scotland and initiated 2.3 GW of early-stage development in Ireland. Prior to that, he spent 8 years at the Marine Directorate (previously Marine Scotland), advising on licensing and planning for over 6 GW of consented capacity.Andronikos holds a PhD in offshore wind farm early-development activities, and certifications in project management and consenting. His experience covers success in highly competitive bids (in the fields of offshore wind leasing, research projects, research infrastructures, and economic development), business development, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence management, partnership management, management of third-party consultants, strategic marine research coordination, leadership of multi-national and multi-annual projects, coordination of offshore surveys, oversight of advisory functions, financial and human resource management, stakeholder management, senior representation to a range of domestic and international fora, and offshore energy commercial expertise.As a trained Experienced Deal Lead professional (EDL by Shell Commercial Academy), he is known for delivering results across multiple value chains and geographies, with a focus on energy transition and long-term asset value creation.
