I’m Ajitesh Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO of Crowwd, India’s first finance-only social platform, built to cut through finfluencer noise and serve the country’s 100 million+ retail investors. Crowwd is pre-Series A, has crossed downloads, and is backed by 25+ investors, including HEXA Startup Studio. After validating our MVP in Europe, we moved our HQ to India, where investing conversations finally centre on credibility, not virality. We are getting into brokerage within 6 months (I write this on 26.01.26)Retail investing stands on three pillars: information gathering, execution, and optimisation. Today, Crowwd is deliberately focused on the first. I believe finance should be discussed, questioned, and understood, not shouted, sold, or blindly copied. We are replacing Telegram tips and influencer culture with analyst-led insights, AI-powered discovery, and merit-based rankings where quality beats followers. Retail investors\' money matters. They deserve transparency, and discussion. That is why we are building Crowwd. My background spans finance, and computer science, which lets me blend code and capital. I studied at the University of Edinburgh (BEngg in Computer Engineering) and Imperial College London (MSc Management), before choosing startup life over corporate comfort at Deutsche Bank, Bentley Systems and Vector Capital. Along the way, I’ve founded three startups, exited one. Beyond business, I founded SevakSeva, which supports single mothers and widows through financial literacy and employment, and earlier started DonateAbhi when I was 18. Been brought up with the thought and action of service because of my father (who serves as a civil servant), and my mother who\'s family has actively contributed to national politics for 2 generations now. Outside work, I adore cooking hahah, also I am a 4th Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo, and presented Delhi at state-level 10m air pistol shooting.Today, I am what I am because of the blessings of my teachers, parents, friends, mentors, investors, and the deities and forces of the universe.
