I recently concluded my role as the railway advisor to Bajaj Energy Pvt. Ltd, one of the top 3 power producers in India. Prior to that, I spent 6 years as the corporate transportation consultant to Tata Steel, the world’s second most diversified steel producer. With over 3 decades’ high-level and in-depth experience, my key strengths include executive, strategic planning and implementation of large-scale rail and transit operations and logistics. My insights are informed by direct experience within various senior leadership and consultative roles over the years. What I do well, is engender trust with senior leaders through keen communication, negotiation and influencing skills. I advise and guide senior management teams on all aspects related to the effective and efficient construction and management of large-scale rail infrastructure and operational systems. I possess an incisive capacity to detect optimization opportunities and introduce original and sound solutions that result in the saving of time and money. I have forged and nurtured high-level relationships with Members of Parliament and have influenced commercial agreements that resulted in overall savings and security for all parties. In my role at Tata Steel, my efforts directly resulted in hot metal production increases of over 3 MT and the turnaround of iron ore trains reduced from 42 to 24 hours, saving $3.3 million per year. I am interested in senior advisory roles where my strong expertise in rail and transit transportation planning, development and management can directly impact business growth.
