Bengaluru, IN

I work as a Cloud Engineer at TCS, where I\'m responsible for keeping enterprise-grade hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructure stable, observable, and continuously improving. My environment spans 100+ Linux servers across AWS and on-premise systems — and my job is making sure they stay healthy, secure, and SLA-compliant around the clock. What I work on day-to-day: Infrastructure & Reliability — I oversee a large fleet of Linux servers (Ubuntu, RHEL, SUSE) across hybrid environments, maintaining 99.9% uptime and SLA compliance. When something breaks, I lead the incident response and root cause analysis — a structured approach that\'s brought our MTTR down by ~30%. Monitoring & Observability — I work heavily with Grafana and Prometheus to keep an eye on CPU, memory, disk, and network metrics. The goal is always to catch issues before they reach users, not after. Automation — I\'ve written Python and Bash scripts to eliminate repetitive monitoring tasks, saving the team around 5 hours of manual effort every week. I also maintain a growing library of runbooks that the team now uses as the standard playbook for common infrastructure scenarios. Collaboration & Prevention — I work closely with cloud and platform engineering teams to not just fix incidents but prevent them. The runbooks and fixes we\'ve shipped together have cut recurring alerts by about 20%. High Availability & DR — I\'m part of the on-call rotation for HA and disaster recovery, and have helped restore production services during critical incidents with minimal downtime.Tech I use regularly:AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch) · Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL, SUSE) · Grafana · Prometheus · ServiceNow · Python · Bash · Git · Docker · Kubernetes · Terraform

ABOUT AJIT GHAWGHAWE

I\'ve spent the last 1.5 years at TCS keeping enterprise infrastructure running — 100+ Linux servers, hybrid cloud environments, AWS workloads — and honestly, I enjoy it more than I expected when I started out. My background is in Electronics and Telecommunications, but I gravitated toward cloud and DevOps pretty quickly. There\'s something satisfying about taking a system that\'s fragile or manually operated and making it reliable, observable, and self-healing. That\'s the thread that connects most of what I do — whether it\'s writing a Bash script to eliminate a repetitive task, building a CI/CD pipeline that removes humans from the deployment loop, or putting together runbooks so the whole team responds to incidents the same way. On the technical side, I work regularly with AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch), Linux administration across Ubuntu, RHEL, and SUSE, Grafana and Prometheus for monitoring, and Terraform and Kubernetes for infrastructure and container orchestration. I\'m AWS Certified (CLF-C02) and Oracle Cloud certified, and I\'m actively deepening my skills in platform engineering and SRE practices. A few things I\'ve worked on that I\'m proud of: → Brought MTTR down by ~30% through structured incident management and RCA processes → Cut manual monitoring effort by ~5 hours/week with Python and Bash automation → Built a Terraform IaC setup that reduced environment provisioning from hours to under 10 minutes → Set up a full AWS CI/CD pipeline that eliminated manual deployments entirely Right now I\'m looking for Cloud Engineer, DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineer roles where I can take on more ownership — ideally somewhere that cares about infrastructure quality and gives engineers the space to improve things, not just maintain them. If you\'re hiring or just want to talk cloud and DevOps, feel free to connect.
