About Ajey Pandey

My job is to make the future of energy happen faster. Heat pumps, electric vehicles, time-of-use rates, digitized customer experience, distributed generation and storage, non-carbon electricity-I\'m working on all of it. Not only do we have the technology to electrify (almost) everything, the electric stuff is BETTER than the fossil stuff-we just need to get it in people\'s hands. That\'s where I come in. I steward many of the electrification and efficiency programs offered by the Reading Municipal Light Department (RMLD), and I champion the development of new programs will not only help our customers save energy (and money), but also provide new frameworks for the utility industry to build on. I\'m also a one-stop resource for RMLD customers who want to know more about saving energy. What should I know about going solar? What is this \"demand charge\" on my bill? What\'s the deal with the Inflation Reduction Act? I\'m fundamentally a big-picture guy-I like knowing a bit of everything, and my constantly-full whiteboard is a running joke in the office. But all the scribbled notes in my office converge on one goal-helping our customers access the future of energy.
