I work as an Independent Social Systems Architect, supporting mission-driven organisations, philanthropic institutions, and community initiatives to design ethical, scalable, and sustainable systems.Over the years, I’ve found that many social and development organisations do meaningful work but struggle when it comes to scale, sustainability, and leadership continuity. They are often busy, committed, and values-driven yet overly dependent on individuals, vulnerable to burnout, or unclear about long-term direction.This is where I usually come in.I work with organisations and leadership teams on-Long-term strategy and road-mapping- Organisational and program design- Governance and decision-making frameworks- Sustainability and scale pathways- Mentoring leaders and second-line teamsMy work is less about quick fixes and more about building systems that outlast people.I typically engage through longer-term advisory or stewardship roles, rather than short projects, allowing space for trust, depth, and real institutional strengthening. I work with a limited number of organisations at a time.My perspective is shaped by deep experience in philanthropy and community development, combined with a strong interest in systems thinking, ethics, and long-horizon planning. I’m most interested in the hard parts of social work where values meet power and money, and things often start to break down.Alongside my institutional work, I write and reflect on themes such as meaning, leadership, and commentaries on change as a journey.
