ABOUT AJEET KUMAR GANDHI
I am an academic radiation oncologist with over 15 years of experience in the multidisciplinary management of solid malignancies, with a strong focus on gynecological cancers, head and neck cancers, and brachytherapy. I currently serve as Additional Professor of Radiation Oncology at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow.My clinical and research interests include image-guided brachytherapy, hypofractionated radiotherapy, translational oncology, and resource-appropriate cancer care in low- and middle-income settings. I have authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications and have been actively involved in multicenter collaborative research across Asia.I serve as Associate Editor of the Journal of Cancer Research and Therapeutics (official journal of AROI) and as a member of the research committee of the Federation of Asian Organizations for Radiation Oncology (FARO). I am also involved in teaching and faculty development through AROI-ESTRO gynecologic oncology teaching programs.My academic work has been recognized through multiple national and international awards, including gold medals, research excellence awards, and overseas fellowships at leading global cancer centers. I remain committed to advancing evidence-based radiotherapy, strengthening brachytherapy capacity, and fostering collaborative oncology research in Asia.
