About Ajeesh Babu

I’m currently a Graduate Mechanical Engineering student pursuing research in areas of numerical methods for fluid dynamics and heat transfer application. I\'m a CFD enthusiast and has a strong interest in Thermal and Aerodynamic simulation. Currently I perform research in CFD simulation techniques for Vehicle Underhood thermal management and packaging optimisation using RANS, URANS and DES simulations. I’ve overall 4.5 years of solid Engineering Design Experience. I currently work for Parker Hannifin as a R&D Intern.At Parker, I work with an interdisciplinary team of mechanical, electrical, testing engineers to develop and optimize various electronics cooling solutions for grid tie inverters, drives, research & develop new products using 3D CFD simulation, Electromagnetic simulations, engineering calculations, thermal testing and CAD design of new products. Prior to my graduate studies I worked as a Boiler Design Engineer in Doosan Power Systems/Doosan Babcock for 3.5 Years in Thermal & Process Engineering, Hot Structure and Ducting Design of Supercritical and Subcritical Boilers,and worked in five biggest green field projects(800 MW) and two Renovation & Modernization projects.Areas of Interest: CFD,Heat transfer, Vehicle thermal management & Underhood flow analysis, Vehicle Aerodynamics, Electronics Cooling, Engineering Thermal and Structural Design, Numerical Methods, Meshing, Turbulence, CAD/CAE.Specialities:#CFD case set-up and analysis using STARCCM+, ANSYS Fluent & Autodesk-CFD.#1-D CFD analysis and process simulation using AMESIM.#Surface Clean-up and Meshing using ANSA.#Electromagnetic loss predictions using Ansys Maxwell 3D#Proficient in CAD software: Autodesk Inventor and Solid Works.#Windows and Linux operating system knowledge.#Programming using MATLAB, Java Macros, Bash and C.#High Performance Computing.
