PetraScience Consultants is currently an exploration, development and technology consultancy. The company was founded by Anne Thompson as an applied mineralogy based business focused on understanding alteration patterns around ore deposits, geometallurgy for mine development, and environmental assessment. The business was redefined in 2012 when John Thompson joined as the principal consultant. Anne and John co-edited the \'Atlas of Alteration\' in 1996, which is still available for sale through the Geological Association of Canada and which remains the only source of comprehensive information on minerals commonly found in alteration associated with mineral deposits.
