About A. J. Brush
A.J. Bernheim Brush is a VP Group Product Manager in the Copilot Experiences product group and the product experience owner of Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat. Her team works collaboratively with teams across Microsoft to help people save time using M365 Copilot. She and her team have worked on many AI-based experiences including Cortana, Play my Emails in Outlook and smart replies in Teams. Prior to joining M365 Core, A.J. spent 11 years in Microsoft Research. Her research area is Human-Computer Interaction with a focus on Ubiquitous Computing. She received her Ph.D. in computer science from University of Washington and graduated summa cum laude with a double major in computer science and mathematics from Williams College. A.J. received an alumni achievement award in 2017 from UW’s Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science, a Borg Early Career Award in 2010, and has over 20 patents. Her research has received two 10-year impact awards, 2 best paper awards, and several best paper nominations. A passionate supporter of inclusion in the computing field, she is an Emeritus member of the CRA-Widening Participation board and was co-chair from 20••••16.
