I’m an inherently optimistic executive with 22 years of experience working across finance, controls, risk, technology and data. My career has moved through all 3 Lines of Defense, but my real work has always been at the intersection of finance, controls, systems, analytics and human behaviour — turning complex environments into something clearer, faster and more reliable.In the 1st Line, I’ve led major finance transformations: GL implementations, Manual Journal Entry automation, financial reporting redesign, data governance, and multiple digital projects that upgraded the way information flows through an organisation. These experiences taught me that technology matters — but clean data and good design matter even more.In the 2nd Line, I’ve managed ICFR (SOX) governance, enterprise risk management, internal control assessments and maturity models. This is where I learned to combine data, controls and judgment to build frameworks people can actually trust.In the 3rd Line, I’ve driven audit automation, analytics, data-led testing, and IT/business controls reviews. Working here showed me how much insight hides inside systems when you blend quantitative thinking with real-world understanding.Across all these roles, one belief has stayed constant:strong organisations don’t run on control checklists — they run on clean data, simple processes, thoughtful automation and people who understand how systems behave.Beyond work, I’m interested in how the world of work is changing — how AI, money, expectations, identity and stability shape careers today.
