Leads the development and implementation of environmental services strategies and initiatives, such as adoption of best practices, continuous improvement systems, and modernization/innovation to better integrate and streamline services across VCH to optimize quality, data assurance, performance and service delivery. Guides best practices in the development of environment services strategies and initiatives, policies and procedures, and ensures services are aligned with the vison and strategic goals of VCH.Works with the senior leadership and colleagues to create and utilize appropriate key performance indicators for services. Recommends and implements improvement strategies and initiatives that drive innovation and continuous improvement of services with assigned service area. Ensures that appropriate quality and safety measures are in place, and are compatible with organizational, industry and provincial standards. Collaborates with the senior leadership and colleagues to develop and inform strategic plans for environment services to ensure sustainable, long-term service models reflective of local/service area needs.Support and develop the program under the partnership between Business Initiative Support services and Vancouver Coastal Health to foster best practices in environmental services.Outbreak support for LTC/AL sites. Assessing and evaluate training needs for EVS. Mentoring LTC/AL sites with guidance on best practices to prevent cross contamination. Developed CISS program with the team and implemented to success. QA training given to LTC housekeeping leads and coached them to carry on their sites to success. Developed SOP’s with the team to implement best practices for housekeeping. Developed materials for Managers and front line staff with the CISS team. Played a vital role for re organizing job routines with many sites who are enrolled with CISS. Directly trained 16 mentorship sites. Liaison with IPAC and help them to mitigate risks during outbreaks.
