ABOUT AJAY CHOWDHURY
Successful global, experienced CEO, Chair and board director with over thirty five years experience in company strategy, digital transformation, e-commerce, digital media, venture capital and Government. Frequent contributor to newspapers and conferences on Deep Tech issues, including Generative AI, Web3 and the Metaverse. Experienced in building and expanding businesses globally in North America, UK, Europe, Israel, China and India. Significant private, public and arts board experience as Chairman and Non-Executive Director. Served on the boards Virtual Internet (LSE), FairFX (LSE-AIM), Shazam, Seatwave, ComQi, Lionhead, Department of Culture Media and Sport, Arts Council London, Historic Royal Palaces and RADA amongst others. Currently Chair of Cambridge Enterprise, the University\'s spinout arm. Raised funding successfully for several companies and participated in selling various companies including Seatwave (to Ticketmaster), Lionhead (to Microsoft), Shazam (to Apple) and Virtual Internet plc (to Register.com). Other companies I founded or was CEO of also had successful exits - LineOne (sold to Tiscali) and ComQi (sold to AUO Optronics). Selected to be part of the Asian Power 100 - the 100 most influential and powerful Asians in the UK, 30 pioneers In Asian tech, won Dealmaker of the Year 2015 award from M&A Magazine for the Seatwave sale to Ticketmaster, Top 100 Asian tech stars and selected as one of 2016\'s Sunday Times top 100 BAME business leaders in the UK. Frequent media contributor on tech issues with appearances at conferences, on the BBC, Telegraph, Wall Street Journal, FT and the Guardian amongst others. My first children\'s novel was published by Penguin in 2016 and my three subsequent award winning Kamil Rahman detective thrillers have been published by Harvill Secker.
