I am Ajay Sawant, a science communicator and changemaker working at the intersection of media, mentorship, and environmental action. I use storytelling, digital strategy, and youth leadership development to drive tangible impact, empowering young people to advocate for the causes that matter to them.I am the Founder of Generation Artivism, an initiative that amplifies youth voices by helping them discover and refine their own styles of advocacy, and the President of ThinkOcean, a global youth-led network advancing marine conservation through on-ground restoration, ocean literacy, and community-led action.My work has been recognised internationally. I am an NAAEE EE 30 Under 30, GEEP Youth Innovation Prize 2023 winner, 29 for 29 Changemaker (Canadian High Commission & MASH Foundation), and a LeadNext 2025 Fellow (The Asia Foundation). I also serve as the Media and Brand Engagement Director at Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Programs, where I lead digital strategies that inspire youth-driven environmental action worldwide.Beyond digital communications, I actively mentor young changemakers and work with organisations like World Ocean Day, The Ocean Project, National Geographic, The Ocean Foundation, High Seas Alliance, Earth Echo International and Jackson Wild to advance marine conservation and sustainability efforts.I am always open to meaningful conversations and collaborations.
