Job Mission/Purpose: • Purpose of this position is to lead and manage Engineering team in India for local and global support. • Lead and coordinate all necessary organizational measures to secure local growth strategy and actively support global R&D strategy. • Encourage product innovations adapted to local requirements keeping global standards and • processes. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities: Process • Determine and coordinate Global R&D processes to fulfill continuous high quality deliverables. • Active contribution in local and global steering committees. • Coordinate and align with global engineering initiatives. Strategy • Determine and control long-term best cost R&D strategy under consideration of strategic targets from leadership. • Secure and control short term targets of reporting organization as well as economical, timing and quality targets in regards of realization of customer projects. Business Success • Evaluate chances and risk of process innovation for local product application. • Demonstrate local R&D activities and capabilities to local customers. • Support local India management to achieve strategic objectives. Communication • Reporting, presentation to customer and stakeholders. • Reporting and presentation of planning and strategies for Engineering to management • Presentation of Engineering strategies and objectives to employees and stake holders. Development • Determine and coordinate global initiatives, higher efficiency in R&D. • Collaborate with global competency leads and enable know-how transfer to build local capabilities • aligned with global strategy. • Facilitate and develop engineers for end-to-end product development capabilities.
