About Andrew Allred
I sit right at the intersection of Marketing Strategy and Systems Engineering. Because I started my career in marketing, I understand the \"user journey\" conceptually—but now I build the backend architecture to make it actually work.Currently, I manage the team responsible for the Marketing-to-Sales pipeline at Lucid Software. My team’s job is simple but critical: govern the customer lifecycle from the first Marketo form fill to the Salesforce Opportunity. We take fragile, legacy processes and rebuild them into systems that don\'t break. My focus right now:Resilience: If it crashes, we fix it. We recently cut critical routing errors by 99% and speed-to-lead latency by 83%.Modernization: Using tools like Google Gemini to speed up root-cause analysis. It helps us clear technical debt faster so we can stop patching and start building.Speed: Engineering \"Zero-Friction\" paths so high-intent data gets to sales agents instantly.Leadership: I manage a high-performing technical team by being clear about the \"why\" and balancing empathy with hard metrics.
Experience
Manager, Business Systems (Salesforce Marketo Workato)
Sep 2021 — Present · Salt Lake City, UT, US
I manage the Business Systems team responsible for our Marketing-to-Sales pipeline. We oversee the day-to-day platform operations and sync optimization to ensure every lead is captured, enriched, processed, and routed in a timely manner—from lead capture in Marketo through routing in Salesforce.Key Projects & Impact:MQL Routing: Our primary routing engine was hitting record locks and failing ~54 times a day. We rebuilt it using an asynchronous architecture. Result: Errors dropped to zero in Q4, and routing time went from 30 minutes to under 60 seconds.Lead Conversion: The \"Lead-to-Contact\" process used to crash the whole batch if one record failed. We architected a \"Partial Success\" pattern that processes the good leads and logs specific errors for the bad ones. Result: Weekly fire drills stopped, and daily system errors dropped 26%.$15M Sourced Pipeline: Co-engineered a priority lane for the Outreach team. By identifying high-intent referrals and routing them to agents first, we helped source over $15M in pipeline.API Limits: Caught an architectural flaw that was triggering 6.5M API updates a day. We rewrote the sync logic to check before writing. Result: Volume dropped by 77%(to 1.5M), solving our limit warnings.Zero Data Loss: Built a \"Fault Path\" safety net for web intake forms. It preserves submissions a year that would otherwise be lost to system errors—saving roughly $670k in pipeline.
