About Abhishek Jain
I’ve always been fascinated by the mechanisms behind our ability to think. I’m determined to replicate this cognitive capacity in artificial beings like robots. Artificial Intelligence, Motion Planning, and Controls are crucial in making this a reality, and I’m driven to work towards achieving it.As a passionate robotist, I actively work in the field of Robot navigation, manipulation, and deep learning. I thrive in collaborative environments, which allow me to learn various aspects of a project. My experience includes working on diverse projects using C++, Python, and MATLAB programming. I have extensive experience with simulation and robotics software like ROS, Gazebo, SolidWorks, and Fusion 360. I’m a self-motivated individual who can take initiative. During my undergraduate years at IIT Roorkee, I led my robotics club for two years, where we participated in and achieved success in numerous robotics competitions at both national and international levels.My bachelor’s degree in Production and Industrial Engineering has provided me with a solid understanding of the core fundamentals of industry operations, including project management, supply chain management, and quality control. The product life cycle is a critical component of any industry, and it’s essential to work effectively within an industry setting to stay competitive. My degree has equipped me with the necessary knowledge and perspective to contribute to the industry.Above all, I’m a curious learner who enjoys continuous learning. I believe robotics is the future, and it’s gradually becoming our present. I aspire to contribute to this rapidly growing community and work to uncover its incredible potential.

Led deployment of deep learning–based perception models for real-time robotic manipulation using ONNX and TensorRT, supporting autonomous operation across a fleet of 20+ yard trucks- Trained and fine-tuned perception models, improving object classification accuracy and overall system reliability- Enabled distributed multi-GPU training and scalable RGB-D data mining pipelines to accelerate experimentation and deployment- Improved robotic manipulation performance using MoveIt, force/position-based control, and extensive hardware-in-the-loop testing- Designed model evaluation, failure analysis, and automated triage frameworks to improve observability and reduce operational overhead- Worked extensively in a C++-based, multi-sensor robotic manipulation stack supporting autonomous operation
