About Aja Hickman

I’m an HR leader who believes in keeping people at the center of every decision. Over the years, I’ve worked across tech, higher ed, retail, and finance supporting employees and leaders from performance conversations and org changes to engagement initiatives and compliance challenges.Most recently at Amazon, I supported one of the company’s largest air sites, coaching senior leaders, leading a team of HR professionals, and navigating HR operations in a high-volume, 24/7 environment. Before that, I worked in higher education and financial services, where I partnered closely with leaders on workforce planning, hiring practices, and navigating HR compliance in both union and non-union settings.What ties it all together is my passion for helping teams grow using clear communication, thoughtful coaching, and a steady focus on both people and results.
