ABOUT AIYSHA TAYLOR
Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals, children and families in multiple settings. Close to 10 years of experience Supervising the phenomenal Mental Health Team for the Academic Programs Department of Prep for Prep, a New York City based non-profit with a mission of developing leaders in underserved and underrepresented communities. In 2014, I began facilitating workshops for parents and guardians of color with a focus on teaching developmentally and culturally appropriate skills as well as providing a supportive space to make real and lasting connections. Born from my love of my own (perfectly-imperfect) family, my passion is for helping my community by supporting intrapersonal, familial and community healing. I currently live in Takoma Park Maryland with my teenage son and I love drawing, painting, singing and hiking with him. During the pandemic, I actualized a life-long dream and became certified as a Zumba Instructor in my free time.
