The Good Food Institute is the central expert organization, thought leader, and convening body in the Indian ‘alternative protein’ or ‘smart protein’ sector. In my role, I collaborate with startups, investors, and incubator and accelerator programs to scale the alt-protein sector across India. I manage all aspects of the Innovation department, providing strategic leadership, overseeing staff, and managing department budgets. My work includes advising team members, implementing innovative strategies, and ensuring operational excellence.I am also deeply involved in engaging and educating investors to identify and invest in pivotal companies and untapped opportunities, which stimulates sector-wide growth. By developing strategic plans that address gaps in the market and encouraging the creation of new technologies and food solutions, I help foster the expansion of the alternative protein space in India.I regularly analyze the evolving scientific and market landscape to create forward-thinking plans that support the growth of alternative protein companies, while positioning India as a leader in the global smart protein movement.
