Develop and implement protective relay((SEL, Westinghouse and GE) settings for transmission and distribution substations, ensuring system reliability and compliance with NERC/FERC and other applicable standards using SEL Quickset, ASPEN, CYMTCC, Mathcad, ArcGIS, EMS,tap talk and SharePoint.• Perform relay settings calculations, fault analysis, and CT/PT ratio evaluations to support accurate protection coordination.• Executed detailed protection and control (P&C) designs to developed settings for transmission and distribution substations (13kV to 230kV), covering transformers, line, switchgear, and breaker protection.• Analyze system protection requirements, perform fault studies, and coordinate relay settings with other protection devices using ASPEN.• Support field personnel during commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of protection systems.• Review engineering drawings, one-line diagrams, and wiring schematics related to protection and control systems AutoCAD, Bluebeam and CAST-PRO.• Participate in root cause analysis of protection system misoperations and recommend corrective actions.• Collaborate with planning, operations, and maintenance teams to address protection system needs and enhancements.• Maintain accurate records of relay settings, calculations, and coordination studies.• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting protection engineering.• Verify the scope of the project and update through team member and P6 activity• Familiar with industry standards (NERC, ANSI, etc.)
