   During my internship at the EMU (Electric Multiple Unit) Carshed in Tikiapara, Howrah, South Eastern Railway, I gained hands-on experience in the maintenance, inspection, and operational practices of EMU trains. This experience provided valuable insights into the functioning of one of the most critical components of suburban rail networks.Key highlights include:Comprehensive Maintenance Procedures: Observed and assisted in the periodic overhauls, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of EMU systems, including electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic subsystems.Electrical Systems: Studied the operation of key components such as traction motors, pantographs, auxiliary systems, and control panels, understanding their integration for efficient train operation.Safety Protocols: Learned about safety standards and best practices followed in railway operations to ensure reliability and passenger safety.Team Collaboration: Worked alongside skilled technicians and engineers, gaining insights into team dynamics and real-world problem-solving in large-scale transport operations.This internship enriched my understanding of the technical and operational aspects of EMU trains and their critical role in providing efficient and sustainable public transportation.
