About Aisha Kiani

I\'m a first-generation South Asian immigrant, Bronx-raised, and deeply committed to collective liberation, food justice, and community power. With a background in International Studies, Anthropology, and Psychology, I bring a multidisciplinary lens to my work in nonprofit development, environmental advocacy, and storytelling. I currently serve as the Development Coordinator at Harlem Grown, a youth-centered organization focused on sustainability, education, and food sovereignty. My journey has been shaped by being a continuous part of cohorts and working with environmentalists. Such as within the Reducetarian Foundation and the Climate Policy Fellows at The City College of New York. I have grounded my action in grassroots organizing, poetry, and mutual aid. I believe in the transformative power of language, land, and people. As a multilingual anthropologist, I integrate my native Urdu, Hindi and Arabic skills to support spaces for communities to heal, reimagine and connect through action, music and art.
