To direct and control all operation functions of the rig whilst on tour; including safety, drilling, moving and maintenance.• To maintain the cost efficiency of the operation. • To actively participate in the development of personnel and to encourage other supervisors to do likewise. • To work closely with the operator represent• tative at the rig side to ensure that clients’ operational requirements are accomplished safely and efficiently without damaging our environment.• Operate in such a manner which results in achieving the operating plan and objectives including but not limited Operate the drilling unit in accordance with safe well control practices and in accordance with local regulatory requirements. • to safety, uptime, company’s operating expectation, Client drilling curve, rig budget, manpower turnover and rig appearance/housekeeping.• Ensure well programs and schedules are well known to the Drilling crew and adequate written instruction is given.• Has to prepare in relation with the Base Manager the planning of the rigs repairs when required.• Gives technical advises on operation or find support and information whenever required or deemed necessary by operations or client.• Manage and oversee the utilization of resources, equipment and personnel to minimize NPT.
