I am a senior at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, pursuing an Honors degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management with a Business Analytics Certificate. My time at UMass has been dedicated to developing my leadership skills through both hands-on experience and academic coursework, where I’ve strengthened not only my understanding of transformational leadership and emotional intelligence but also my ability to innovate, think strategically, and envision positive change. Through self-assessments, mentor guidance, and academy experiences, I’ve grown in adaptability and cultural diversity awareness, which I see as essential to building inclusive teams and fostering collaboration. Inspired by guest speakers across the hospitality industry, I’ve learned the importance of leading without authority, showing up authentically, empowering others, and letting actions speak louder than titles. I am committed to continuous learning and to embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion as core values in my leadership, ensuring that every voice is respected and every perspective contributes to success.
