Raíces Científicas is a science outreach initiative. We are a small team of curious minds passionate about making science more accessible, collaborative, and connected to everyday life. Team Coordination & Mentorship• Organize and lead weekly meetings to plan activities, follow up on goals, and support team members.• Offer one-to-one check-ins to help track personal progress and encourage skill-sharing within the group.• Foster a friendly, open space where members feel comfortable experimenting, learning, and growing together. Outreach & Content Creation• Help develop and share science outreach content focused on biology, geology, and sustainability topics.• Represent the team in science hackathons and online events, promoting collaboration and creativity.• Support the group’s presence on social media and contribute ideas for engaging with a wider audience. Learning & Community Building• Participate in the Bioempower Leaders program to explore how science can create positive change beyond academia.• Encourage ongoing learning and peer support as a core part of our values.• Work together to build a community that’s inclusive, supportive, and aligned with making science useful and inspiring.
