ABOUT AIMO BUELTE

With beginning of 2019, I joined the Accenture leadership team as Managing Director, leading the Industry X team across industries in GE/A/CH. Prior to that and since November 2014, I was CEO of the Dornier Consulting Group, which used to be a 100% subsidiary of Airbus. Dornier Consulting is active in consulting clients on Technology & Strategy primarily in the area of Mobility, Environment and Infrastructure, with a very strong footprint in the Middle-East region. Based upon the long-standing business relations particularly within the Kingdom of Saudi-Arabia, I was appointed Member of the Saudi German Business Council early 2015. Prior to Dornier Consulting, I was VP Head of Technology & Innovation in Airbus Defence & Space starting 2010. Within that role, I was responsible for the overall technology and innovation portfolio for the Division, embracing all research partnerships & co-operations, external R&T funding agencies and respective IP rights. During that time, I represented Airbus D&S at the R&T Council of the European Aerospace, Space & Defence Industry Association (ASD), and was Chairman of the ASD Aircraft Sectorial Management Group for over 3 years. Furthermore, I was member of the Advisory Board for the Research Airport Braunschweig. Before this Airbus executive role, I was Associate Partner in McKinsey & Company, where my primary field of work were the Aerospace and IT Service industry sectors. I started my consulting carreer at McKinsey & Company in 2001 in Zurich and later Berlin, where I became member of the global High Tech Practice leadership group. I hold a PhD in Astroparticle Physics from the nuclear research centre CERN in collaboration with the Astrophysics Department of Nagoya University (Japan). I was a member of the CHORUS research co-operation, and conducted my own research experiment called CHARON. I was born in 1972 in Zossen (near Berlin), with German citizenship.
