ABOUT AIMI LIGHTOWLER

Like many people involved in software testing, it was not a career I pursued with initial intention but one I fell into quite by chance; it did not take long however, before realising that I\'d found the correct career pathway.The qualities I already possessed such as attention to detail, creativity, compulsion to see things through and explore every outcome, inquisitive nature with a desire to learn, and the inherent need to ask questions, all lent themselves perfectly to a role where continuous improvement in quality was key. Becoming a software tester felt like a very natural progression.I have never pursued career advancement, instead focusing entirely on doing my job and doing it well, this is what gives me satisfaction and a sense of achievement at the end of each day. I have been lucky enough however, to have been given the opportunity to advance from Quality Analyst, to Quality Engineering Lead and now most recently, Quality Engineering Manager. I mentioned the word \"lucky\" but I am a firm believer in the quote \"The harder you work, the luckier you get\".I feel very privileged to be a part of an incredible QE Team at Gear4music Ltd, one I have been involved in shaping from the outset. We have a great community of highly motivated individuals who bend over backwards to help support and upskill each other and truly care about the work they are doing, it makes coming to work each day an absolute pleasure.
