Dispatch drivers for everyday deliveries and pickups of parcels and shipments by managing, planning, and monitoring routes for around stops/day on AS400 software for daily operations. Pro-actively assisting drivers and their brokers for on-road problems, breakdowns, time constraints, issues with the shipper, or the customers. Listening to driver’s problems and working out for a solution that works out in everybody’s favor. Communicating, providing training and leadership to drivers to ensure they are following the correct procedures. Responding to customer’s service emails, phone calls regarding the deliveries scheduling. Play as a liaison between independent contractor delivery teams, customers, and the customer reps and the external courier services/agents team working for the company. Being resourceful in resolving the problem shipments that come back to the terminal and could not be returned due to many reasons. Conduct a terminal/warehouse search for missing parcels. Make everyday reports that can lead to the data representing the success and failure percentages of a day for pickups and deliveries.
