I am working as Financial Controller at ESMT GmbH in Berlin, where I look after both the institute\'s financial reporting and also the accounts of the parent company. My role covers everything from hands-on accounting tasks to management reporting and analysis for the Board.In my day-to-day work, I:prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, and monitor performance against budget,handle GL corrections, rebookings, and keep the DATEV records accurate,prepare cost reports and analyze expense variations, often using Power BI to present results in a clear and useful way,act as the sole accountant for the parent company, taking care of all DATEV entries, preparing accounts as per HGB, and doing monthly AUM (Assets under Management) analysis,work with asset managers, prepare monthly financial analysis for the Board of Directors, and draft presentation scripts for the Kuratorium.This role gives me the chance to combine my accounting background with financial analysis and reporting, while supporting management and the supervisory board in decision-making.
