About Aiman Altaf
Hello! My name is Aiman and I recently graduated with my Bachelor of Science from Johns Hopkins University. In my gap year before medical school, I am working as a research associate at the Arlotta Lab. I am interested in using stem cell derived 2D and 3D neuronal models to study psychiatric disorders. My undergraduate research at the Feng Lab focused on developing an isogenic model to study Huntington\'s Disease, and I am currently studying Autism and Bipolar Disorder on hipsc-derived brain organoids. I am passionate about alleviating health inequity and food insecurity in low-income and underserved communities, a goal I work towards through my volunteer involvement and hope to continue doing as a future physician.
