SKILLS
ABOUT AILIN PARSA
Since earning my master\'s degree in 2013, I\'ve worked in Denmark, Switzerland and Germany across several fields: medical physics, large particle accelerators, IT, radiation protection, micro sensors, semiconductor wafers - and as a lifeguard and cashier during my student years. I hold a Master of Science in Engineering in Physics and Nanotechnology from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), 2006–2013, located in greater Copenhagen. Depending on the vibe, I call myself either a physicist or an engineer - both are accurate. In addition to the 300 ECTS from this degree, I completed 67 ECTS in medical physics between 2022 and 2024 through a postgraduate program in Zurich, Switzerland, known as the MAS at ETH. I am a Dane with knowledge of Persian culture and keen to keep learning about Germany and its neighboring countries. According to my passport, I was born in \"Asia\" in 1986, and I spent most of my life in Denmark (19••••19), mainly in Copenhagen. I then lived in Switzerland for six years, mostly in Zürich, with frequent stays in eastern France, Geneva, Milan, and southwestern Germany because of my husband\'s temporary research contracts. I\'m multilingual and speak Danish, English, and Persian fluently. I also read Norwegian easily and would perhaps pick up Swedish quickly. I understand standard German fairly well and can hold simple conversations. I usually get the gist when someone speaks an easier version of Swiss German. Right now, I live and work in Karlsruhe, Germany where my husband also lives and work.
