If we’re serious about the big stuff, like ending mass incarceration, breaking cycles of poverty, and expanding educational access, then we have to build models that can withstand turnover, funding shifts, and the passage of time. That\'s the tough love I\'m trying to bring to the sector. Because nonprofits have got to earn the right to scale. As a former executive director, a longtime interim CEO, a founder, a mother, and a daughter of immigrants, I’ve spent the last 20+ years helping social good leaders ensure their impact lasts far beyond the next grant cycle.
