About Aiden Konold

Aiden Konold is a senior Political Science and English double major and Creative Writing concentration at the College of the Holy Cross. He is currently the sports editor of The Spire, the Holy Cross student newspaper, and he is the co-chair of WCHC Sports, the Holy Cross sports broadcasting club. In this role, Aiden helps produce and call Holy Cross home sports games (basketball, hockey, and baseball). He also serves as a student manager for the Holy Cross men\'s basketball team. Outside of school, Aiden works as a ski instructor during the winter and caddies at Ekwanok Country Club during the summer. At Holy Cross, Aiden hones his written and oral communication skills through the classes he takes as well as the clubs he participates in. Aiden hopes to build upon these skills through any open employment or internship opportunities in the realm of journalism.

   Starting in November 2022, I have done play-by-play and color commentating over radio for Holy Cross home athletic games, notably men\'s basketball and men\'s hockey in the winter, while doing baseball in the spring. In addition, I have helped with the production side of these broadcasts, including men\'s and women\'s basketball, men\'s hockey, and baseball. I hope to hone these skills while in college, as I hope to enter the sports media industry after graduating.
