Worked under the mentorship of numerous post-doctoral researchers and graduate students on projects attempting to elucidate how the dysregulation of chromatin modifying enzymes contribute to pancreatic and bile duct cancer pathogenesis and subtype formation will to the goal to discover if these pathways present druggable targets or biological liabilities that could be exploited for advancements in cancer therapy• Performed both in vitro and in vivo work on a new FDA approved cyclin dependent kinase inhibitor that confirmed a subtype specific vulnerability in pancreatic cancer that led to the drug being chosen as the compound for the lab’s first investigative human clinical trial that will occur in 2025 with the support of a V-Foundation Grant as well as the GI oncology staff at the Fred Hutch Cancer Center• Responsible for the maintenance, genotyping, and husbandry of the lab’s genetically modified murine model (GEMM) colony and served as the biosafety officer tasked with ensuring the lab’s compliance with the regulatory requirements imposed by the institute
