I am an ICA qualified (AICA) Risk and Compliance professional operating within the Second Line of Defence (2LoD) in an FCA regulated wealth management environment, specialising in strengthening governance and control frameworks while providing independent, commercially aware challenge that supports both regulatory compliance and strategic decision making.I work closely with senior stakeholders to identify, assess and manage operational and regulatory risks, ensuring frameworks remain proportionate, forward looking and aligned to risk appetite, while being effectively embedded in day to day business activity.I have strong working knowledge of key UK regulatory frameworks, including SM & CR and Consumer Duty, and support their implementation by translating regulatory requirements into clear, practical insights that enables confident decision making at all levels.My approach is pragmatic and outcomes focused, balancing regulatory expectations with commercial realities to support sustainable growth. Above all, I focus on fostering a proactive risk culture where accountability, transparency and continuous improvement are embedded and where risk is positioned as a key enabler of resilient, sustainable performance.
