ABOUT AIDAN LIEBERMAN

Future lawyer. I am currently in my fourth year at the University of Florida with my eyes set on law school after I graduate. Many people might want to enter the legal field to make a substantial amount of money or get hired for a sophisticated position at one of the best law firms in the country. That\'s never been me. My dream has always been to help and support individuals who have been taken advantage of by our criminal justice system. After law school, I plan to work with people who have been wrongfully convicted and incarcerated - but also at the same time be a part of the solution to reform our justice system. My experience as a Legislative Intern in Florida\'s House of Representatives drove this desire and interest to further help people in my lifetime. I came to the understanding that I wanted to leave the world a better place, than what was given to me when I entered it. In my role as a Legislative Intern, I authored and delivered letters to Florida\'s Department of Corrections on behalf of incarcerated individuals - resulting in a progression of their cases and the issues they experience. These interactions with people directly affected by the criminal justice system gave me my purpose and my calling in my life. As interesting as this may sound, I am graduating from the University of Florida with a major in Sport Management. When I was first accepted into the University of Florida I had the desire to work with professional sports teams, but that quickly changed when I saw so much that needed to be righted in our country and our world. When I graduate from law school, I plan to work in the human or civil rights sector of the law so that I can assure the betterment of the people around me and across the globe.
