About Aidan Hyman

Aidan Hyman is a social entrepreneur, humanitarian/renewable energy advocate, and athlete. He was nominated as one of Attitude Magazine\'s most influential trailblazers of 2024 and is an Athlete for Equality with the Human Rights Campaign. Hyman worked in environmental affairs at the United Nations ESCAP headquarters in Bangkok, Thailand. After interning for California District 4 Congressman Mike Thompson in Washington, D.C, he has joined the Mike Thompson for Congress Campaign as a fellow.Hyman seized the opportunity to climb K2, the second-highest peak in the world, located in Pakistan. He connected with Lucy Westlake, the youngest American woman to have climbed Everest, who became Hyman’s inspiration and guide. Aidan’s athletic background includes running marathons since the age of 15 and competing on the UC Davis triathlon team. Hyman is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural & Environmental Technology at the University of California, Davis (UC Davis). In his previous professional roles, Hyman has developed an investment thesis on nuclear fusion trends and modeled the potential energy efficiency of building on-site wind and solar farms for the UC Davis Bodega Marine Lab. Aidan also proudly holds the title of a Three-Star World-Marathoner in the Abbot World Marathon Series, having conquered marathons in Boston, New York City, and Chicago. Hyman has since competed in Ironman 70.3 Hawaii for the Ironman Foundation, raising money for programs connecting underprivileged island youth with outdoor activities.
