ABOUT AIDA MOHAMMADSHAHI
I’m a Machine Learning Developer with a deep passion for building intelligent systems that are not only powerful but also fair and trustworthy.With hands-on experience in both industry and academia, I have worked across a range of applied AI domains, including agentic AI, large language models, computer vision, natural language processing, and efficient deep learning. Currently at AltaML, my focus is on developing AI-native systems for various use cases, with an emphasis on building multi-agent systems powered by LLMs.Previously at AltaML as an intern, I developed end-to-end machine learning pipelines for real-world applications such as customer churn prediction. During my graduate research at the University of Calgary, I investigated advanced topics including pruning techniques for LLMs, knowledge distillation and its impact on bias, and unsupervised domain adaptation in medical imaging.My work has been published in top conferences such as WACV, NeurIPS (workshops), ICCV and TMLR Journal. I also love mentoring others and have supported students and professionals as a TA and AI mentor for several years.Skilled in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, SQL, and cloud platforms like Azure and AWS, and agentic frameworks like Langchain, LangGraph, and Autogen.
