About Scott Jeschonek

My first job was as an administrative assistant for a computer technical school. The President of the school tasked me with creating a database. I LOVED it.and wanted to do MORE!Over time, by asking for more responsibility and being trusted with that responsibility, I went from that original job to become their first Director of Information Systems. I learned about school management, and ultimately created an integrated school management database system. I did this through hard work, reading, asking a lot of questions and experimentation.and mistakes! By the time I left, I had implemented their first LAN, WAN, Network Operating Systems, web sites, updated labs of computers and had become the Program Director for the school’s Computer System Specialist program, managing teachers and teaching students. And it’s been this way ever since. I’m driven to constantly learn new things, whether or not it’s in the scope of my current job. Leveraging my curiosity, I\'ve developed a consultative style in customer meetings. Rather than just taking the customer\'s “order”, I ask: why will doing this help, what value does it add to the their solution, how do they think it will actually work, when do they expect to really use it. Often probing in this way uncovers the true customer need and can simplify the actual requirement, saving everyone time and headaches.One of my key talents is speaking. My high-energy teaching style allows me to enthusiastically present any topic. Whether I\'m speaking at a trade show, a private meeting or an industry roundtable, I am able to condense complex ideas into straightforward explanations.
