About Rohit Sharma
My current role as a business and data analyst is centered on optimizing car sales for Mahindra in South Rajasthan. I dedicate my time to the rigorous analysis of sales data, generating comprehensive reports, and meticulously monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This work allows me to identify emerging sales trends, track customer preferences, and analyze competitor activities, all for the purpose of deriving actionable insights. I use this analysis to perform demand forecasting and conduct A/B tests to measure campaign effectiveness. A significant part of my work involves extensive data cleaning, validation, and transformation, frequently leveraging advanced SQL queries with window functions and CTEs.A critical component of my role is identifying the root causes of productivity drops and proposing data-backed solutions. I design and maintain interactive Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards using tools like Tableau and Power BI, which provide real-time visibility into sales performance, inventory, and customer demographics, ultimately enabling proactive decision-making. I apply statistical methodologies such as hypothesis testing (e.g, t-tests, ANOVA) to validate assumptions and ensure my recommendations are robust. My ultimate goal is to deliver data-driven insights that lead to optimized sales strategies and accelerated growth, all while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.Prior to Mahindra, I focused on operational optimization at Derewala Industries Limited, where I utilized data to significantly improve on-time order delivery and overall efficiency. This involved extensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new data solutions. I also collaborated with cross-functional teams using SQL to design and refine database queries, which streamlined workflows and supported operational needs.I am continuously expanding my technical toolkit, gaining proficiency with core Python libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib/Seaborn for data manipulation and advanced visualization. This ongoing learning keeps me at the forefront of data analysis methodologies and technologies, ready for complex data challenges. My passion lies in transforming raw data into clear, compelling narratives that empower informed business decisions. I also have proficiency with business analysis methodologies and terminologies, including SWOT analysis, feasibility studies, Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), and Agile frameworks.
