ABOUT ALAN H. TURNER
For more than 25-years, Alan has successfully led several nonprofit organizations. He has extensive knowledge of non-profit management, community engagement and collaborations, fundraising, team building, social media, and public policy. His dedication to the nonprofit sector has resulted in the raising of more than $250 million that has been invested in various health and human service programs and organizations. His efforts have positively affected the lives of more than eight million individuals and families. Alan has successfully completed doctoral leadership classes at Southeastern University. He earned his M.B.A. at Union University, a B.S. in Business Administration from Daemen College, and an A.A.S. degree from S.U.N.Y. Cobleskill. Alan has completed Executive Education Programs at Harvard Business School, Harvard Kennedy School and Kellogg School of Management. Alan is a graduate of several local leadership programs. He was Honorably Discharged from the U.S. Army Reserves after serving with the 338th General Hospital Reserve Unit, in Niagara Falls, New York. Alan enjoys traveling and touring historical locations, is a novice genealogist, loves trying new coffee spots or microbreweries, collects comic books with his son, but most of all he looks forward to spending time with his family. He has a lifelong commitment to community involvement, devoting his time and energy to a wide range of community and civic organizations. He is currently working on a book for new and aspiring leaders in the nonprofit arena.
