Developing, designing, and engineering the adhesive assembly and welding manufacturing processes and technologies for the next generations of iPhones (iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 14 & iPhone 2023) • Leading the NPI process development of the assembly, adhesive bonding, and Laser welding for the iPhones from the prototyping phase to the production ramp phase (process concept design, fixture and automation design, and equipment development). • Road mapping manufacturing processes development initiatives/strategy and CAPEX for process/product quality improvement, as well as incorporating learnings from previous programs and input from product design, reliability, product quality, and warranty. • DOE to verify the affecting parameters and process optimization, manufacturing testing design (fixture test), and process validation. • Problem solving through statistical analysis (hypothesis testing, ANOM/ANOVA, and DOEs), failure/RC analysis, and CA validation. • Process optimization and control for lower cost, highest FPY, capability (Cp & Cpk), ergonomics, flexibility, and mass production. • Developing VSM, process maps & flow, PFMEAs, SOPs, work instructions, and testing/quality control plans and inspection methods. • Design review and solving manufacturing-related product problems, and process decision matrix with cross functional teams of product design, manufacturing, FATP, product reliability, production operations, process quality, supply chain, and product warranty. • Design for X (DFX), aesthetics, reliability, functionality, serviceability, cost, and design for manufacturing (DFM). • Basic process knowledge of machining, lathing, injection molding, stamping, polishing, lapping, pad printing, PVD, and anodization. • Drive and manage suppliers of tooling, equipment, and automation in the aspects of process design, process trials, process validation plans/strategies, equipment development and testing, and automation development, automation integration and retrofits.
