Hi there! My name is Ahmed Jafri and I am currently working as a Senior IT Finance and Business Analyst/Project Manager with the Ontario Public Service. I have a strong foundation in accounting and a passion for optimizing financial processes, enhancing compliance, and delivering top-notch customer service. My academic background includes a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, specializing in Accounting, and a Business (Commerce) Diploma, which have equipped me with the knowledge and skills to navigate the complexities of financial and risk management and auditing in both the public and private sectors. In my current role as a Senior Analyst, I contribute to division-wide financial forecasting, overseeing the audit and risk portfolio, streamlining compliance processes and driven data-informed decision-making. I support I & IT audit projects, manage the internal control framework, and oversee various compliance processes to ensure audit compliance, mitigate enterprise risks, and maintain an effective internal control environment. I take pride in leveraging my expertise to provide guidance on financial policy, risk management, audit recommendations, and resource allocation. I develop training programs that empower teams to meet and exceed audit requirements In my previous role as a Senior Tax Analyst, I excelled at analyzing high-value returns, identifying discrepancies, and collaborating with Band Councils to maintain compliance within tax exemption programs. My experience at ServiceOntario further honed my customer service skills, where I managed complex inquiries and ensured accurate, timely support for a diverse range of clients. I am passionate about strategic planning, process optimization, audit, risk management and supporting teams to work collaboratively toward shared goals. I’m constantly seeking new challenges and opportunities to grow, both professionally and personally.
