ABOUT AHMED SHAFEEK

I am a trilingual and a UofT certified Lean Six Sigma professional who’s passionate about helping others and creating efficiencies. I have a master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence (Computer Science) from the University of Windsor and am working at the International Organization for Migration, UN Migration agency (IOM) as the Head of United States Refugee Admission Program (USRAP) Travel Loan Program. In that job I strive to find creative solutions using AI and Machine Learning to support refugees’ travel loan repayment in the USA.I have advanced computer and technology skills (Assembly programming, C programming, OOP with Java, ASP.Net MVC, Python AI libraries, R, MySQL, Microsoft and Adobe suites. I co-developed a smart phone app for financial planning and built some interesting small software projects during my study at the University of Windsor. My 11 years, and counting, experience as an International Official with the United Nations, contributed to the development of strong negotiation, public relations and speaking skills that came in very handy with various roles and capacities I have been at the helm of.I have a passion for learning from and analyzing data. Moreover, I excel in process improvement and perceive it not merely as managing a business processes, but rather learning about opportunities and challenges stakeholders are facing, the solutions they dream of, and finding creative ways to make their dreams come true. Better, now I aspire to create Deep Learning Solutions that could continue to learn from the clients\' knowledge bases and continue to support their decision making autonomously long after the project is done.
