About Ahmed Osman
After working for top New York design firms including DeSimone from 1996 to 2008, as a structural design engineer and a Project Manager, Ahmed established DeSimone Abu Dhabi office with Mark Plechaty in 2008 & fully Managed its daily operations since 2011 then successfully expanded the business & established DeSimone Dubai office in 2015. In 2016 Ahmed accepted an Award from ACI (American Concrete Institute) for his leading role in design and construction of 55-story twisted Emirates Pearl Hotel in Abu Dhabi. In 2020, Ahmed moved to DeSimone’s Florida office to assist with the increased workload of projects in Miami office. However, he continues to manage the Middle East team.Abu Dhabi office won Structural Engineering Company of The Year in Middle East 5 years straight since the inception of the Award in 2015 from Middle East Consultant magazine. Ahmed is on the list of Construction Week’s Power 100 for most influential construction figures in Middle East from 2016 to 2020.Throughout his career, Ahmed\'s projects in the US and UAE won 24 Awards in structural engineering from NCSEA (National Council of Structural Engineering Association), SEAoNY (Structural Engineering Association of New York), middle east Consultant and Construction Week because of his aggressive, efficient and innovative engineering designs.Client focused, Q/C and Mentoring Project Managers & engineers in the firm on a daily basis.
